Month: February 2008

End of the Day: -30

Why humans ever decided to move to this cold and barren land in the first place, I will never understand. Perhaps back then they could slaughter seals and wrap themselves up in their fatty skins. In the meantime, we march like penguins in dreary black coats against the raging sideways snow and wind, down icy slush cluttered sidewalks, skipping puddles at the intersection, inevitably missing to soak our wool socks.

But what do we come back to?

No laurels, credentials
But love, desperation
Heartbeat, eyes open
And, reciprocity

I don’t think I’ve realized that I’m in school.
